David Kemper, the founder of Belmont Equity Partners, brings 20 years of professional real estate experience to the management of the business. David founded Belmont Equity Partners based on the idea of adding fundamental value to each and every real estate investment through a selective, disciplined and hands-on entrepreneurial approach, while thoughtfully aligning the interests of all partners.
David’s exposure to the banking side of the real estate business came through his time with Citi Bank Corporate Real Estate. With a desire to be engaged on the equity side of real estate, David executed on over $1.0 billion dollars of real estate transactions with Cadillac Fairview Corporation and NorthWest Value Partners in acquisition, development and asset management capacities.
David holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, Program in Real Estate and Infrastructure. He received Real Estate Excellence (REX) Awards from the Toronto Chapter of NAIOP for Office Development of the Year in 2003 and Industrial Lease of the Year in 2006.

Brendan, a managing partner at Belmont Equity Partners, began his career working for Deloitte in its Corporate Finance real estate advisory group.
Brendan left Deloitte to join what was then a small to medium-sized public company, First Capital Realty, which specialized in owning and developing neighborhood shopping centers. In the six years Brendan spent at First Capital Realty, he was directly involved with over 60 transactions worth more than $1.0 billion dollars combined, in addition to more than 1.0 million square feet of retail development projects.
In looking for a chance to be part of an entrepreneurial environment, as well as to have an opportunity to be involved in projects on the ownership side, Brendan joined Belmont Equity Partners in 2008. Since joining Belmont, Brendan has been involved in all aspects of the development and repositioning of assets, including sourcing deals, tenant and lease negotiation, municipal approvals, construction and financing.
Brendan holds a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) at Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Richard, a managing partner at Belmont Equity Partners, entered the world of commercial real estate while completing his undergraduate studies by forming a partnership that acquired, renovated and leased single-purpose student housing properties.
Beyond experiences in the investment banking sector, both with CIBC World Markets and RBC Capital Markets, Richard spent four years working for one of the largest office development companies in the world, Hines, where he assisted with development management duties on landmark projects throughout Canada, including the Platinum-LEED certified 1.0 million square foot Eighth Avenue Place office development in downtown Calgary.
Since leaving Hines, Richard has enjoyed entrepreneurial success in retail development. He joined Belmont Equity Partners in 2013, where he continues to source and manage commercial real estate projects with a particular focus on the retail and office product types.
Richard holds a Bachelors of Commerce at Queens University and Masters of Real Estate at Cornell University.
