Belmont Equity Partners constructed a 38,000 sq. ft. urban retail centre comprising 4 buildings on a brownfield site in downtown Guelph, securing long-term leases with the LCBO, the grocery anchor Goodness Me!, and Starbucks.
Belmont overcame the environmental constraints that had left the site dormant for more than 20 years and was one of the first participants in Guelph’s Brownfield and Community Improvement Plan initiatives. This project required Belmont’s expertise to successfully balance the urban design objectives and offsite requirements of the municipality, while delivering on the stringent design and functional requirements of the tenants.
