To unlock and purchase these lands from SmartCentres, Belmont Equity Partners negotiated significant commercial use restrictions and resolved long-standing cost-sharing entanglements that were material to the viability of the development's residential vision.
Following the successful acquisition of the site and resolution of those matters, Belmont Equity Partners partnered with Branthaven Homes to co-lead the entitlement process to create a shovel-ready residential townhome community known as Joy Towns. This site boasts convenient access to major retail amenities, transit and the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
